Thread: Need Laptop DDR (266, 333, or 400) and PATA 2.5" hard drive (any size really)

Hello,

I "inherited" a compaq Presario V2405US laptop..
ld really like to ma
It has an AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+
1 x 512MB DDR 333 (PC2700)
1 x 256 DDR 333 (PC2700)
40GB 4200RPM PATA Drive that is dying
15.4" widescreen
ATI 200M express graphics (nothing really special there..)

I would really like to max out the ram (2gb) if I can, and just get a hard drive that isn't going to belly up..

I have for trade 3GB worth of DDR2 memory for a laptop (1x1GB and 1x2GB), as well as cash..

Anyone got any of this by any chance?

don't waste your money on that thing dude.. the sempron laptops are junk from what I hear in the circle of friends.

He knows that Hades, I think he just wants to trade, for some shit he's got, that he's not using......Can't ever beat FREE laptop, imo.
Speaking of free shit, when u upgrade again Hades, send me all that out of date/worthless hardware you'll have laying around....I'll pay shipping...lol

I know.. but it was free, and I have DDR2 laptop memory that I'm not using/ can't use.. figured I'd ask..
It seems to tick along pretty well, now that it's had a little TLC from me, and not being abused by my mother. I tore it apart, cleaned it (copious amounts of dust and hair. how this thing kept even remotely cool like that is way beyondmy scope of comprehension...), and applied some AS5 after lapping hte pocessor and HSF a bit. runs super cool now never jumps past 65oC.

I think I am going to trade the laptop as is to a guy for a 1.5TB WD Green drive.

I know, I know, it's a 5400RPM drive, but it will just be additional blu-ray storage on my server, behind my 2TB Raid-0
