Is it worth more than a Benjamin to you?

No. Anything is better than throwing it away as I have done in the past. I should be getting my new card next week and then I can swap them out and it will be available.

Why get a 670 when you could get two 590's for the same price?

Where are you looking? Newegg has the 580 for around the same $400 price and they don't list the 590 at all that I can see now. Plus the power to performance is better with the 670 and superclocked by the manufacturer to almost equal to the 680 for $100 less.

AnandTech - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Review Feat. EVGA: Bringing GK104 Down To $400

This card is suppose to double the frame rate of my 470 in BF3 and I will have to test that out for myself by playing BF3 again.

Not sure as I don't know how to check, but I was able to play BF3 without any problems that I could see. I loaded faster than some said they were able to load. My lag (when I had it) was due to server issues as everybody in Teamspeak said they had lag at the same time. I am just looking at the expert tested numbers to compare.

Do you see a significant visible difference, since you didn't try to look at the FPS you had on the 470? What do you get for FPS on the 670?
