    Default BF3 comp

I want to be able to run BF3 at a decent setting. I know there isn't an official minimum requirement released yet, but i wanted to get yall's opinion...please.
    I currently have:
    -core 2 duo E6750
    -EVGA 680i SLI
    -6 gigs ram
    -(2) 8800GTS 640GB
    -W7 Ultimate (thx Lunat1k)
Would I be ok just upgrading the gfx card? If yes, what card do you suggest? I would wait several months when prices drop.
    OR
    My buddy just gave me
    Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-MA770-DS3P AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
    Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 95W Dual-Core black edition Processor AD775ZWCGHBOX
then add a card & 4-6 gb ram. probably a different mobo too (suggestions on that?) would this be better to build upon?
    OR
just build a damn new computer in Fall/Winter?

    thanks & thanks.

I would personally build a new computer later this year, if you have the cash. So many new pieces of hardware, it'll be very nice.

I'd wait until they come out with the specs. I just hope my laptop can handle BF3, I don't want to buy a new one just yet. It is awesome for BC2 but who knows with a new game.

I would build a new system, with a quad core CPU at least. The Sandy Bridge is suppose to have some really good performance, and is relatively cheap compared to i7 in the same arena. Fubacca for the opinion please.

asking fubacca and coop advice on whether or not to buy shit for your computer is like asking the guy with a ferrari whether or not to buy a new car.

Yes it's true, usually I spend way too much on my system. But really, the sandy bridge is not expensive compared to my over $6k system a few years back. For right at $1300, you can build a really nice SSD boot drive setup like I have. If you dont need a case take it off and you are at $1150, for a bad ass system. Overclocked to 5GHz on aftermarket air cooling.

    My system below

    Asus P8P67 Pro $190
    Intel 2600k Sandy Bridge $315
    OCZ Revo 120GB $280
    8GB Corsair DDR3 1600 $100
    ATI 5870 1GB $250
    Corsair 600T Case $160

Now I do agree that you should hold off until later this year when the next crop of cpu's hit the market. Going to be even faster and more balls. Save up for that instead of spending your money one an older tech today. And who knows what specs will be recommended for BF3

Minimum Hexa-Core CPU and HD 5970/GTX 580 and the game has to be loaded on a SSD :p

If you get the 6950, you can BIOS flash it to unlock the full 6970 shader count and clocks.... read about it here at TechPowerUp.
