That is not entirely correct. It is a well known fact that sli'd or crossfired GPU's need 3.6ghz or higher for them to even perform to their full potential. You need to be over 3ghz for any of the new high end cards NOT to bottle neck on the GPU so to say that cpu cores do not improve ATI or Nvidia is incorrect. AA is completely dependant on processor power. I think what you meant to say is 2-4-6-8 cores do not improve GPU's rather the frequency of those cores.
