Default Tech Question for ya.

I have tried everything. When I have both of my monitors hooked up BF2 goes back to being square on my wide screen. I disconnect my second monitor and it goes back to wide screen. Whats going on here? I am running a MSI N250GTS-2D512 OC for gpu. xfx 750i mobo, quad cpu. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 I have tried the shortcut trick, and adjusting every possible resolution. WTF gives?

I only want it and am only running it on one screen. But on that one screen, when I have both hooked up it makes the resolution square.

I love when you give people the answer and they don't accept the answer. BF2 doesn't run on two, so even though you're only wanting it to run on 1 screen, it doesn't know that. I can't figure out how to do the widescreen on a two monitor setup and it goes to what its comfortable with, 4:3 (I'm assuming that is what you mean by square).

Hey now. I assumed he was thinking I wanted to run BF2 on both screens. Not the case. So....... :P I just want both screens available when I am not playing... sheesh. So there is no way possible to have dual monitors at all if I wanna play bf2. I swear I did it before.

What shortcut trick are you referring to? Not sure if it is needed... but try running in windowed mode, and changed to span mode so the picture will be spanning across both monitors. That is if you want dual monitors for the game. If you need to swap monitors, then you should change which one is the primary display.

With 1.50 patch, doesn't it support widescreen? Or does the game not go that high in resolution?

widescreen works on mine just fine and I have dual monitors... have you set the resolution with the in game options or via the short cut? Just so you know you lose your sightdistance when you go widescreen i believe.

widescreen with bf2 looks like crap...all stretched and such...id rather have the black bars on the sides of the screen than a stretched looking picture...

widescreen is nice if what your watching on it is supported...bf2 was never meant to be widescreen...so they just did a stretch which makes everyone look fat. I do love my widescreen as well though. got a 40" toshiba 1080P HDTV as a monitor.

hell no! get ur own! less than $1,000 at costco
and they got the 120hz and 240hz ones now...i got mine before those existed in this size...mine is only 60hz. but as long as its a LCD and your using the HDMI input than you do not see the refresh rate...now if it was a CRT that low of a refresh rate would stand out to me like a sore thumb and give me a headache...
