Default GPU? Good Combo? Advice?

Okay. I bought a PNY9800GX2 from Tryyng and it works great! I am running that as my main GPU and have a 8800GTS as my physX accelerator. I am a balance freak and would like 2-9800GX2's. Will another brand (EVGA, XFX) work with it in SLI?

technically yes, preferably i would get same brand, mix and matching doesn't always work out. also if you do decide to get another brand make sure it has the same clock speeds.

quad sli is worthless. It causes micro-stutter in most applications and games and does not scale well. If you insist on running 2 x 9800gx2's then use the 2nd as a physx accelerator.

yes you can mix them however there is one thing to keep in mind for stability. You may need to use Riva Tuner full time to control the core, ram speeds and shader clock so that they are infact running in parallel. Especially if you plan to overclock. I'm not saying that you WILL HAVE TO DO THIS. I'm saying you might have to do this.

Default Do you need to do that sometimes with ATI Radeon?

I never had to do that when I ran the 8800GTX & 8800GTX OC together. The 8800GTX OC would just revert to default speed of the other card. I have read in the Nvidia forums that as long as the GPU and memory are the same, it should work.
