    We went fishing again the other day and my daughter was throwing rocks at some thing by the water so I had to go see what it was.

    Hate to break the new to ya, but that's no water mocassin. That's a very good imitation fish though (probably a yellow belly water snake but I can't tell for sure). You can tell the difference between imitation snakes and cottons from the head. That snakes doesn't have the right head shape, lacking pits, and its eye pupil is round, not elliptical.

    The is a proper cottonmouth (water mocassin)



    here's a similar looking yellow bellied water snake
