I walk a hard line here with all of this...

The patriot in me knows that it takes the lives of innocent people sometimes, unfortunately, for the rest of us humans to look up and say "Hey.. What the fuck is going on here..?"

The father, son, brother, and husband in me mourns for this mans family, and the people in the building he crashed, as well as their families. There is nothing worse in this entire world, than having to wonder about whether your direct bloodline is alive or not. Ok or not.. The pain of losing people.. man.

Something tells me we are in for a crazy ride over the next 10 years.. I don't really say anything to anyone, but anyone who knows and trusts me has been watching me buy 30/30 ammo every week for the past 6 months.


And I hardly ever shoot my guns.

There has got to be a better way to get your point across. The worker who died working in the building, just may be no more than someone trying to make a living for their family. I'm sure the problem with the IRS, which I personally believe needs a major change, did not start or will not end with this particular building and staff. We have this wonderful thing called a "vote." If the people of this country can ban together, we can vote in or out whoever we want. Vote in the people who will make a change.

IF that's what you want to believe Blue. You know... what ever floats your boat. The IRS is a joke and the only time anyone ever talks about it is when they gotta pay the man/men whoever 'they' are. From what little I know about the whole system taxes are what pays the interest on the money that has been lent to the country but there is actually no written law that forces any american to pay taxes.

The act of collecting it or fucking up someones life in order to get it is in fact breaking the law. Someone dying 'innocently' is and always will be a matter of opinion but looking back over the history of ANYTHING if people don't die almost nothing ever happens. Think about it in a general way for a minute if you will. I will give you another view on the topic to make my point.

An intersection with a stop sign in a bad position that is hard to notice causes people to not see it at all and run the stop sign killing someone EVERY year until it is assessed and fixed. A poorly marked or labled corner on a country road has people flying off the road to their deaths because they didn't know they should be going 40mph instead of the 70mph they were going. I can go on and on here. The faulty construction of components for the Space Shuttle. Poorly engineered buildings collapsing or poorly engineered ANYTHING causing death.

If people systematically started destroying tax offices with people in them or not and kept doing it until something equitable was done about it nothing will change. Like USMC pointed out; we are all just another mans animal and the zoo keeper with the most animals wins the day. Replacing that taxes offices will simply come out of tax money and even though one person tried to tell the rest of america something it will get brushed under the carpet and other people like him will be profiled and tossed in the slammer.

The tax system... your's and mine are poorly engineered. People kill themselves every year trying to scrape out a living or taking a shot at owning their own business and failing and left with a debt load that has all but ruined their lives.

I hear ya Blue... I would never advocate that taking of any life unless it is in self defense.

This case seems to be different than other cases of people fighting the government. It seems that he tried for 20 years to take care of this "a better way". Read the whole letter, he was not a crazed lunatic or some super right wing militant nut. He was a pretty average guy it seems.

If Washington, Jefferson, Adams ect had just listened to England and tried a "better way" to deal with an oppressive government, we would all have bad teeth and a different flag.
