Thread: "Banned by an admin" is Not A Reason

I was banned while playing Sharqi today at around 8:25pm Pacific. Reason stated, as above, was "Banned by an admin." It happened pretty much instantly after I shot a helicopter down with a tank.

I'm assuming (since the reason I was banned is not a reason) that an admin was in the helicopter, and was angry he got shot down.

So I have two questions:

1. Is it against the rules to shoot down a helicopter with a tank?

2. Is being banned by an admin who is angry he got killed what I should come to expect on your servers?

Thanks for any logical answers you can give me.

So you assume you shot an admin, but you're not sure, yet you're going to jump to that conclusion and ask questions based on your assumption?

I think the reason was:
"BAN THE HERETIC!" or something to that effect.

If your shot was unreasonble, probable, but no, shooting down a helo with a tank is ok. Now if you shot it down from across a map? Probably no luck or skill involved there. It's quicker for us to get rid of suspected hackers quickly, to keep server pop up. Hackers have bad habits of emptying servers quickly, so empty our server of them when detected. The banning admin sould be round soon.

Only 1 or 2 admins would ban for being killed in a chopper. We don't do it unless it was a hack. I shoot down choppers and jets with a tank all the time, it is easy if they are stupid pilots. Since you don't provide enough details, we will need to wait for the banning admin to respond. We ban instantly for hackers and racism. Any chance you typed something in you should not have?

Heretic, you have made some false assumptions. Your fate will be decided by your next post. Read the rules on posting in the ban section. Then properly make your request with all the required information. You can leave your story out of it because we don't care but you might get lucky with a better attitude.

Believe it or not, we got members who joined for reasons like that, then realized there was so much more shit better than that, being a member.

I shoot choppers down all the time... I've even shot da! members down with wtf how did you do that fuck you hades you asshole. We shouldn't be banning for that and we shouldn't be whining about it either. There are some admins here that need attitude ajustments me thinks.

Anyway, I did shoot it down from across the map, but I already had range on the building it started hovering in front of because I was trying to clear the snipers off of it. So when he wandered into the picture, I was like, "Oh, hell yes."

And I'm sorry for making assumptions, but who made the first one? Who assumed I was hacking because I made a good shot? Seems a bit half-cocked to me, but hey, I don't really know the community yet. Too bad it seems I won't get to, either.

Oh, well. If good shot instantly equals hacker, I won't take the risk again.

It doesn't and you were proably banned by accident, I've removed your ban.

Server comes first even if mistakes are made on innocent freeloaders. Thanks for playing on the server, you are welcome. Play your heart out, we know you now so we shouldn't have to have this discussion again.

Illusion has said this in the past in response to ass hattery. I can think of a few dA that have joined with this tactic.
