I do not know how many of you here are people of faith. Those of you that are, this thread is not about debunking your claims, but it does pose a question.
I have been a sun worshiper since I was a little boy. This had nothing to do with religion but about science. The last few years I have been contemplating several things about the Christian religion.
Now the reason this topic is in the conspiracy section is simply because that is where it belongs.
Through out the course of my study of astronomy, I have been fascinated with the stars. Of course this lead to intense study of Sol. With this study one must learn about the earth and its place in the heavens. I am not sure if you guys know what the precession of the Equinox is, or on the pagan religion of sun worshiping, but these are at the heart of the question. If you do not know what this entails, read about it here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precession).
What does this have to do with Christianity? Everything. Heaven and hell aside, the mythos of Christ is misinterpretation of the ancient understanding of astronomy and astrology. Fueled by a couple thousand years of fear and literalization, the Christian faith has been strayed from the story it once plagiarized.
The story is all about the stars and the birth of the sun of the winter equinox.
We all know the story... Christ is born on the 25 of December in Bethlehem, where the 3 kings (or magi) follow the star to the birth place of the son of god, who later died on a cross and rose from the dead after 3 days. This is why this belongs in this section of the forum: this story is based on science and not mythology.
Aside from the fact that the story of Jesus's birth is plagiarized and stylized after earlier religious figures, they all tell the same story; forecasting of the rising sun of the winter equinox. This is where the conspiracy goes ever deeper.
This image right here is what the birth of Jesus is telling.

This is the eastern sky as it would be seen on December 24 at 21:00. This would be when the "Three Kings" would follow the Star to the birth place of the "Son of God." If you do know know what you are looking at, reference this (http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/3389/orionthehunter.png) image.
What do you see? What is the significance of this image and how does it relate to the story of the birth of the sun of god? Simple. The story is rationalization of pre-existing concepts of the precession of the equinox at its lowest point; the location of the rising sun during its 3 day "death" during the precession. The sun precesses across the sky to the south during the year from summer (at its peak) to winter (at its lowest point) The story of the brirth, the death, and the resurrection of Jesus is symbolism for this celestial event. Check out this last image here (http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/5240/thebirth.png).
There is even more symbolism through out the story of Jesus that point to the work as being an interpretation of this precession. Jesus is the personification of the sun precessing through the zodic of Pieces, the age we are in now until 2150 when we enter the age of Aquarius the water bearer, who is also mentioned in this story as the one that follows Jesus. Jesus feeds 5000 people with 2 fish. All of these icons and symbols point to the stories in the bible being more of a science text book then religious testament.
What about the age before Jesus? Taurus the bull was the zodiac the sun was in. Remember the story of Moses when he came down from the mountain? People where still worshiping the image of the golden calf or bull, a sign of Taurus.
Now the story is complete. The conspiracy revealed. The question all of this begs is this: If man has know for ages about this precession and tells it in its holy tales, why does dogma and science clash so when they are telling the same story?
