As long as they know something about linux will I take them seriously. I mean unless you've tried everything under the sun, you're more or less pull shit out of your ass.
Once you've used Windows/Linux/OSX, you'll become less abrasive about "FUCK AMD" or "INTEL ROCKS". At the end of the day, it just has to work.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can be a fanboy. But in reality, you should know that its about what you're doing. I recommend things based on what the application is, and what they're going to use it for. Not because AMD is the SHIT, and Intel sucks donkey balls.
